UnD - So, if the compilers do not produce much better SPEC scores, we may see little movement in the stock price

Do you really think the stock market values AMD based on SPEC scores?

UpNDown, unfortunately I don't recall AMD stock to be directly related to posted benchmarks. :)
If they manage to get at least 10 news stories in various pulications that may bring some investors.

UpNDown,Nice to hear from you.
This slug of a stock will never move. They have some problems and all Ruiz can do is blab out the same nonsense that Sanders chanted, "we will, watch this,in Q3 and of course the word profitable enters in once and awhile. I swear AMD is kept around to amuse Intel. If it gets to 9 I have a sell in.
But I will keep playing it up n down and ya know that is my greatest joy. Cause that is all it does is go up n down, in little bits. LOL

AMD's stock price will move up if and when the following happens:

1) Volume design wins for Opteron/Athlon64
2) Break-even achievement in their finances

I really doubt improved SPEC scores are going to cause a rush of investors to bid up AMD's stock. It's interesting to note that AMD did not participate in the tech rally since March, even though the Opteron launch happened right in the middle of it.
