It's about the additional properties that LiquidMetal brings that is interesting for Apple and why they have spent millions in R&D to explore those properties and manufacturing technologies. What if they could make a case that didn't require all the additional steps that aluminum requires to finish it? What if the case had properties that enhance reception? What if the case could be made thinner? What if it could be fused to glass? I am sure there are other reasons.
