FlyFishingStocks I agree, it never ceases to amaze me, the pleiotropic effects of EPA- in this case, antibacterial effects. It has to be yet another positive factor for Reduce It results since we know how damaging bacteria is for the heart. You have to have sympathy for the poor bastards on mineral oil in the placebo group

I don't have access to the full article - but appears to me the EPA/DHA was consumed in capsule form, not applied directly to teeth? Although adding stable non-oxidizing EPA to toothpaste sounds like a good idea in theory - wonder how much you'd need to make it effective?
