With regard to progression free survival, which is the primary endpoint for this trial, it seems there should be a statistically significant difference between the treatment and control groups if the treatment is effective. The placebo group represent the patients "who didn't get anything" (before they crossed over). So why weren't the differences "bigger"? Well we know from Dr. Bosch that "pseudo progression wrecks havoc on clinical trials", so that's one possible reason. I'm looking for any other plausible explanations.
