MW, In the Nv CC Jens was all giddy about the efficiency of his 10 series cards. Some folks think it is because TSMC process is better than GFs. Others point to the superior design.

All the GTX10s lack async compute, so for running DX11 games that don't do async it is probably beneficial to leave out that functionality.

Going DX forward, 12 comes after eleven, it may be that Nv will add async compute to their next generation of GPU. I wonder if the GTX 10 series will suddenly become obsolete?? It might be interesting to see the power comparisons.

If you look at the Nv GTX 10 blogs, there is a problem with stutter. Been speculated that the lack of async compute puts extra load on the CPU and where the CPU is sub par stutter results. If this is true it may be a good thing for Intel.
