When cespedes went down the season fell apart, Granted it was about 3 weeks he was on the roster, before they did the right thing. They should of dl him at the all star break, he was out more then half the time anyways. The fact that duda never came back (He was suppose to be back by now.) Wright well that we knew was gonna happen. But then Wheeler was suppose to be here he isn't. Harvey got hurt. Then when it totally fell apart, when in about a week, cespedes, cabrera, lageres, reyes all went on the dl, that was when it broke apart. Since the all star break we had plenty of horrific all star break losses, yesterday was another one, and today's effort tells you how bad yesterday hit them.
We have also had guys totally not pan out. D'arnuad was suppuse to be the catcher of the future, well he can't throw to 2nd if anything his defense has gotten worse, and his offense is dreadful. You know how bad his offense is, he hasn't had 1 xbh all season with risp. Not 1 XBH that is hard to do.
Granderson has been dreadful this year, call me when this guy gets big hit. Also Conforto this was a guy the mets were counting on, right now I'm almost convinced this guy will not figure it out this year, and may never figure it out. Shaking my head. Those are 3 guys that are here that have failed miserable.
You can blame TC, he is not the best in game manager in the world, but this team has been broken through the injuries, the areas of underperformance, and the futility with risp. I'm starting to have significant doubts they will make the playhoffs for the first time this week. And quite frankly they don't deserve to, I remember someobdy saying about the mets being a 500 team if they keep this up 500 will be a very distant memory. What and unmitigated disaster, I have to admit I was blind sided by this season, not that I ever thought the mets would be the best team in baseball, but I certainly didn't think they would be anywhere in this position. Shaking my head.
