If only NTGL had developed that incredible idea to make a tennis-based skill gambling game it could have been HUGE!!!!
Or better yet, the idea for a tennis coaching skill-based casino game, because that takes a LOT of skill. Dealing with 8 year-old spoiled brats every day to eke ~OUTT a handful of coins (or credits) an hour would be appealing to gamblers, as it is in real life.
So many potential gamblers secretly aspire to be a kids tennis coach that such a gambling game would give them a chance to live their fantasy job - and this would have been the most popular gaming device in the casino.
Right after the Day Care game and the Nursing Home Orderly game.
People would flock to those games, since most people secretly aspired to those careers when they were in school and then later grinding ~OUTT a living in a real career.
I could also see that the Prostitute and Garbageman games would have been a huge success too. All kids and adults secretly aspire to those careers too. It's like the tons of people with graduate degrees and professional degrees grinding away in an office for a measly $565/hr billing rate secretly thinking "gosh, I wish I was a tennis coach or garbageman - I wish there was a casino game to let me live ~OUTT my fantasy vicariously and maybe win a few bucks too."
And I'm shure that if one surveyed women students at major universities (and they were honest in their responses), most would name 'prostitute' as their #1 career of choice - so a casino game where one can play the prostitution game would be highly attractive to Millenial generation females, a demographic that is lacking in casino gaming.
Oh well, missed opportunities. Maybe IGT can follow those leads.
