That's exactly right and $10k oz would be sufficient for a fractional gold based monetary system. It would make sense to send the country with the greatest purchasing power on a fools quest for real estate equites and treasuries if one was trying to accumulate PMs discreetly

How true, how true. The "powers that be" don't want to return to gold standard because that would restrict how much, and where they could spend. They don't want restricted spending, that's why "tricky dick" took us off in the first place. War machine was hampered, US couldn't buy lesser gov'ts with bribes, invade countries at moments notice, or take month long fact finding vacations.
