When it comes to Alzheimer's, I am especially sceptical and looking for red flags.
BOD are kinda meaningless. It's one of the best gigs in pharma. They get big bucks for practically nothing. There are countless instances of crap bios with awesome BOD.
I'm not sure it's a red flag but why would Avanex have Elliot Favus as a director? He's a freekin research analyst. Kinda strange IMO.
Everyone with opinions here (especially me) could be wrong. People should not just rely on other people to make investment decisions.
I talk to some highly educated investors who invest for a living (two run bio funds). We all make mistakes.
I often ask for help. I read scientific papers and often don't understand some of the technical stuff. If you are too lazy to do actual due diligence, do yourself a favor and check out the batting average of the people you are listening to.
