Well, maybe Hahn has been told by Reinsdorf that he will be able to hire his own manager next year? If that is the case, Robertson, Melky, Frazier...all are under contract for next year. The team they have should be far better than the record.
I still would not mind trading Sale in the offseason when Hahn can hold an open bidding war and also teams would be more willing to give up some major league talent. We have enough pitching coming up to let Sale go for the right return.
That being said, if Ventura is back next year, team is doomed again. Never seen a manager so lost with how to manage?
