Yes, you are missing a lot. If you are building your expectations on what is written on message boards, usually not a good receipe for succesful investment, although sometimes you get lucky as it may be the case here. Do your own DD and either believe in the company's fundamentals, in the case of Anavex that they have the drug(s) and will be able to commercialize it, or you have doubts and you will be better off finding more predictable and less risky but potentially less profitable investment opportunities.
I for one have drank the Kool-Aid and believe in the scientific approach, the management team (Missling specially) and the market need for what Anavex is trying to solve. For that reason I hold a significan stake and intend to hold for as long as I believe that my believes remain solid an on course to deliver a financial reward unlike any other I have experienced in my many years investing. Long for the long.
