The FDA has recently allowed Amarin to talk to doctors about Vascapa’s ability to lower moderately high triglycerides which is the market that they wanted all along.

Recently? Last year's news.

The FDA is also going to allow Vascepa to be prescribed off-label. This new is pretty huge unless I’m missing something.

Yeah, you're missing something - all drugs are allowed to be prescribed off label, FDA can't prevent it. Mixing up "prescribe" with "promote".

I doubt that Amarin will have trouble convincing doctors to prescribe a pill that slightly lowers bad cholesterol rather than substantially increasing it.

Take a look at scrips and try again - ain't as easy as you think, and you're forgetting about insurance coverage as well.

The only real fear here is the apparent FDA corruption, but I have to wonder if they are done punishing AMRN.

Pretty much the only valid statement in the article.

As you can see for yourself Mike, folks over here who've been invested in Amarin for a while have gotten pretty damn cranky by now. Still, the company might be a reasonable bet at this point in time, interim Reduce-It results due out any day now! Good luck to all!
