Here is an update on my lending Tesla shares to Schwab for shorting by one of their clients.
The shares were borrowed for about six weeks, then returned. Just today I received an email request to lend them again. Here is a portion of the email:
"Another opportunity to earn income lending securities Thank you for participating in Schwab's Securities Lending Fully Paid (SLFP) program. We're writing to let you know that we've identified another opportunity for you to earn income by lending securities to Schwab.
The following security(ies) you hold in the account noted above currently qualifies for the SLFP program:
Security Name Security ID Quantity TESLA MOTORS INC TSLA 300"
I have not acted on this request yet because I sold calls against the stock and I am not sure I can still lend it.
