Do you put your character on auto-pilot or something equivalent when this happens? My main perception of video games is that the player needs to be focused on the action, or else end up "losing a life". :-)

That's why I can't imagine multi-tasking in the background.

Multitasking is a lot easier when you have four monitors.

I run builds which do parallel compiles. I might be able to take advantage of four processors if I can get a fast enough disk subsystem.
