There is no evidence or reason (outside of pure hope) to believe that money is coming to us however much we rightfully believe it should be coming to us.
Hope is an emotional bandaid that humans use to cope with difficult times, and I respect the need for that. But I don't lose sight of the fact that that's what hope is, and sometimes it can be less than fully rational.
