Blue,

I drop by every month or two to see what's happening re:wave and not to interrupt your rant, but this part is not quite accurate:

"Solms was only interested in the TPM 2.0 and bet everything on it. Meanwhile, Safend, Wave's much-bumbled purchase, was actually starting to make revenue. But Solms pushed that aside and directed all efforts to the Wave TPM."

To be more accurate, Solm's put all of Wave's future in the Wave Virtual Smart Card (VSC) product that uses the TPM 1.2 & the TPM 2.0 standards.

Wave never made a TPM of any sort they developed products that utilized the TPM's made by various Chip OEM's.

It was a major disaster as you point out using hind sight and given that the US Government could not use the TPM 1.2 after YE 2013. Only TPM 2.0 was acceptable. The fact that the US Gov't never used the TPM 1.2 from 2007 - 2013 is an unanswered mystery JMO.

Microsoft Windows 10 is totally based on the security of the TPM 2.0 standard and they hold patents around the Firmware TPM (fTPM) that is a software version of the TPM chip and that software runs as a trusted application in a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE).

Hope this helps.
