brother, i'm simply thrilled to finally have a team to call my own. was at the park today, and am now 10-3 on the season. which, of course, i'm pretty jazzed about considering the nats are 10 games under. as you may have read, am having a blast watching ryan zimmerman mature and learn right before my very eyes. he has already learned to stop swinging at pitches low-and-away, now i'm waiting for him to realize he doesn't have to throw every ball that he manages to get his glove on.
anyway, could not agree more about "the trop". come to florida, enjoy the weather, but watch our baseball team under an umbrella. ceiling same color as the ball, balls bouncing off rafters as you mentioned - ridiculous. and may add, (in my opinion) they built it in a horrible location for the bulk of their potential audience. i'll say this: despite their record, (mighty tough division) they are a fun young team to watch.
in case you've forgotten, (or in case i've forgotten that i never told you in the first place <grin>) i was born and raised in saint petersburg. left there in '84, when after joining the USAF - began to call DC my home. matter of fact: i'll be down to visit family, (everyone is still there) in late september. if you're going to be around, we should try to grab some lunch.....
