Of course DM doesn't do deals to do 'ok', but it's folly to think that they automatically make money on every deal. I don't think they expected to be in this stock for 8 years, do you? Even they can't predict the future. Yes, they probably know what this company means to potential buyers, but what is that? We don't know. Those 5-6 interested parties may not have been nearly as interested as folks think. Maybe what Platinum knows is that it is worth about $100-200m to them (my low end prediction from yesterday), and not $700m (my high end). Re selling, we know they sold heavily in 2014 when the price averaged around a dollar a share. I don't recall now if they sold in earlier 2015 at the lower levels, and don't feel like looking it up. My point is simply that the idea that they are holding out for a much higher price is based on assumptions that may not be true.
