Upper, are you asking ME that question specifically, or do you mean "you" as a hypothetical to the general population of readers??

If you're specifically asking me that question, then clearly you don't follow me much, and I can't blame you as I don't contribute much that's informative beyond psyche reflections.

I personally do NOT short. I feel it SHOULD be illegal, and that particularly the act of publicly bashing a stock to hurt its value is to me highly unethical, when you consider that it is NOT a victimless act.
When a stock is shorted a few people get rewarded while the vast majority get hurt. It is the essence of survival, and in turn it is our foundation of good and bad, that the action that should be taken is the one that will benefit the greatest number of people possible and/or hurt the least possible. When a behavior is contrary to this rule, it is likely unethical.

Nevertheless. ..when I said a stock is always worth shorting, I meant from a moralisticly unattached profit point of view. I can't get myself to behave as a snake, but many can, and I observe them to be the financial victors so frequently I understand why they do it.
