yes, but the advantage of the meter is that it provides a certified fare for the ad-hoc rider. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if WM can compete with Urber.

Than they would want meters to guarantee they are not being shorted a penny. They woyld want GPS and everything else. You are right mafia will make money by some kind of tax and everything will be strictly monitored because the mafia doesn't get ripped off. Sounds like FARE has worked on this and everything is in place. This is why FARE would be more benefcial to the mob instead of Uber. Time will tell.
