Actually not really - CEO is usually given a lot of freedom and board of directors don't interrupt unless things go really bad and it seems that they did here and fired Sullivan. I don't believe he resigned, he was most likely pushed out. Board of directors don't get involved in day to day operations, that's what CEO is for. Maybe they got involved when he wasn't able to close the Rontan deal or maybe someone from Rontan contacted Delgado about it? All speculations at this time but one thing is for sure - THE DEAL IS NOT DEAD like some on here kept insisting.
