To me it's very similar to meteorologists who use complex dynamic atmospheric models based on dynamic atmospheric physics, historical patterns, and calculus to estimate the future weather and, although they may be getting more accurate over time, they still are not anywhere near 100% accurate (some would say they are still 50 / 50 like they have always been - even before computers).

That is exactly what it is. Perfect analogy. There are also market seasosns, like weather, when it is sunny most every day and thus conditions are conducive to higher winning trades. Combined with good risk management however, a 6/10 profit rate can put lots of dough in your pocket.

Keep in mind, we have made technical progress. Shorts must push it below the recent breakout or they will cover in earnest. Today is their last stand in my opinion.
