I think that maybe there was planing involved. I am doubtful that we get an "angel" investor to come in at the zero hour and save us from impending bankruptcy. This seems like Apple may be playing their cards close to the vest, slowly showing us a card at a time. My opinion only.

I'm thinking he was aware of LQMT before Engel started representing the company in a round about way demonstrating the Liquidmetal injection molding machines. I feel he saw something he really likes. Perhaps he thinks the collaboration with Engel, once they do and assuming they sell some machines which will inevitably bring the cost of manufacturing down and fund the research and development to make the machines faster, better, etc. which will bring costs of the machines down and I'm sure it's motivation to Engel to stay on the cusp of and any potential new materials they can build and sell machines to manufacture. It's just the simplest evolution of things that gives me a small amount of confidence that parts of my speculation are in line with how all this really came about. It's all good. No doubt LQMT is a better looking stock now in my opinion than it was with much higher market caps brought on by the Apple hype and whatever. It's Li gambling just like Apple making watches and now designing a car. Apple is merely reaching for the future now that the smart phone market has matured with googles Android based smart phones clearly a direct and very worthy competitor(I'm still an iGeek tho) and the newest phones will last 90% of users through several upgrades so. I've been watching for the "growth" in Apple to slow for a couple of years now. It's just the evolution of a saturated market and a market maturing. Apple will be fine.

When will Apple use Liquidmetal? Well they have a worthy competitor in the smart phone market with the droid software and Samsung, another awesome company in my opinion btw, and the competition keeps the pricing competitive. Thank you Apple/Google/Samsung. So we the end consumers get to enjoy these awesome products at an affordable price. So. IMO for Apple to use the Liquidmetal in an iPhone doesn't seem reasonable until it's as cheap as or cheaper. They sell too many of them and every penny of cost that goes into manufacturing them, translates into potentially customers going to a company with a more affordable price tag. I mean I'm an iPhone lover but those Droids ain't no joke either. I'm sure I could get used to using one it's only that I've been an iPhone user so long. There is no reason except price because, the newest generations of smart phones have far surpassed my ability to tax most of the capabilities and features. And I was a freeking digital geek from the very early 80's. At one time, I could site read ASCII. And write software. Those days are long gone tho and now my skill level is probably still well above average I really don't use all the gaming power or other capabilities a new smart phone may have Android or iOS. I think that is the case with about 95% of all of us. Apple will be fine tho. Just getting a bit slower in growth like us old timers.

Apple/Liquidmetal. So I feel when it truly does become cheaper to make an iPhone case it will happen. Meanwhile, they could offer an Apple Watch option which seems to be a better use for Liquidmetal in my opinion. They could cost it in on the mid-higher end models. But they didn't???? Maybe they will find uses in the Apple Car. I mean uses that the characteristics of the amorphous allot where it will benefit to use Liquidmetal. That's about all of the speculation I got. Apple needs to make them waterproof. lol. From personal experience but my 5S has been drowned three times and drunk on whiskey a couple as well. lol. Still works tho. Kudos!

Apple/Liquidmetal battery? Whatever happened to that. Guess it didn't work. Yeah the trade off for using iPhones is battery life. I guess the company chose thinner over a fatter iPhone with a larger battery. The 5 battery life doesn't bother me much. Yeah I charge several times but mostly when I'm idle. I plug it in while I'm driving or at my desk working. No biggy to me. Yeah the 5S still is a kick ass phone most users would be fine for most users. But..... Apple wants to sell more phones lol. I used to upgrade every year. After the 4 well. Now I'm over 2 years and fine with what I got. Of course you could always build you a giant battery and carry it around like a suitcase and maybe you could go weeks without charging. Trade offs.

Eontec/LQMT. Gambling. Yeah sometimes you win on "possibly" emerging technology like LQMT. Sometimes it's a flop. Jury still out on that one but, Seems to me Engel backing this material technology is freekin awesome for shareholders. They may fail. They may not. And as I stated earlier, getting some machines out there in the field will lead to refining the process and maybe materials and bring costs down. But, I think the price is fair for now where it is. Too much unsurity. It's still a penny stock. Looks better than it ever has since I've been watching them in 2011ish when I learned as an Apple head of their association with LQMT. Engel isn't stupid. I also greatly admire that company.

ANYWAY. Just my opinions but Apple is just fine thank you. LQMT is still a gamble, but with better reasons to take a chance in my opinion. Former LQMT manufacturing partner Barney Visser's Furniture Row Racing #78 car driven by Truex running number 5 in the Talladega 500. Oh, I'm going to semi-retire and start a NASCAR team? OMG I admire that guy! Maybe he wasn't a great fit as a manufacturing partner but Visser has an AMAZING resume! Poofy pillows to NASCAR! OMG! In my opinion of course.
