Define "LDL-C" - do you mean sdLDL-C, calculated LDL-C, or maybe LDL-P? From everything Kiwi has written and what we've read on our own, statins have kept him alive, due to his inherited genetic lipid problem - I don't recall whether statins lower sdLDL-C, but they are a risk factor:
