#244916 RE: Koog #244915

Koog,

Yes I remember some giving that opinion. It was my understanding that Wave did much of the grunt work on the Vista/Win 7 OS in developing the Virtual Smart Card, Attestation services(WEM), remote enabling of the TPM and the OPAL SED management.

SKS was once asked at one of the TCG conferences in 2010/2011 as I recall, and he said Wave would see how much Microsoft bit off going forward. My hope when hearing that was Wave could still continue to sell at least into the Win 7 OS and SED management before MS really gained traction and allow for a reasonable exit from the stock. It never happened and I and others paid the price.

You can see how the NSA is involved by going to their web site and find that the NSA will release in 2016 capability packages for SED's. When and how to use the technology for the Critical Infrastructure networks and devices. All this after the sales to the commercial sector (BP/GM/BASF) in 2010 Approx. Who was to know at that time the continued sales of SED's would be deferred. What were those Wave projects really about?

I believe SKS knew or should have known about the delays that were to come both in the TPM and OPAL SED developments but that's JMO.
