It's interesting that my first experience was in the idea of investing; buying shares of a stock so that you shared in the profit through dividends, and reinvestment, so that in several years you'd accumulate a larger stake and therefore larger dividends. A steady and deliberate accrual was imperative, not a clever trade that showed what a shrewd person you were. Reward is wealth unless wealth isn't the desire.
