If you decide after hearing the system with the subwoofer you are not going to buy it personally say to them, "Please leave this demo out, intact" Ill be back with my wife today or tomorrow,so she can hear it" Chances are they are going to permanently leave the new subwoofer out.
You did good, but as you can tell, employess are normally lazy and they don't want to do extra work until they get a kick in the ass, don't put up with the BS and settle for less.

One other thing, this time when you go back don't disclose to them that you are a shareholder, "Its really none of there biz that you are a shareholder, plus they would problable do less for you, knowing that you are just giving them a hard time vs buying the system" try to go on a day that is on a different shift.
