IF you do, I would stick to my guns and say, "Hey !!, I want to buy this system, I heard it was good from my friends, but I want hear the WHOLE system before I buy it", "So if you don't want to lose a sale, I strongly advice you to crack open another box, and put the SLS subwoofer, on display" If they say "Im sorry I can't do that", "say don't you understand, I want to buy this system, but i'm not completely satisfied, put another subwoofer out here right now! so I can hear it" If it takes the manager to get involve, get him involve, They will eventually do it for you.
If you decide after hearing the system with the subwoofer you are not going to buy it personally say to them, "Please leave this demo out, intact" Ill be back with my wife today or tomorrow,so she can hear it" Chances are they are going to permanently leave the new subwoofer out.
You did good, but as you can tell, employess are normally lazy and they don't want to do extra work until they get a kick in the ass, don't put up with the BS and settle for less.

One other thing, this time when you go back don't disclose to them that you are a shareholder, "Its really none of there biz that you are a shareholder, plus they would problable do less for you, knowing that you are just giving them a hard time vs buying the system" try to go on a day that is on a different shift.
