I have to agree with you on this point (and several others you have made).

Mr Li is looking out for Numero uno, and in this case, as a holder of common shares, he has to grow the company as a shareholder to make money, BUT ALSO to keep in stride with the Chinese LAW on massive personal money moved out of the country. It can only be done via a BUSINESS INVESTMENT. Otherwise he could end up in the Chinese government hotel room with bars on the door.
