Doc put me on a modified Atkins-type diet in April. I can have carbs - fruit and bread - but no processed sugar, no pasta, no rice, no potatoes. I'm down over 30 lbs. now.

This was to, hopefully, slow my decline into diabetes. Or, maybe, stop it dead in its tracks. :-)

Anyway, it's easy to follow. Easier than Atkins, IMO, because I can have carbs.

I do miss ice cream, though, sigh.................

I am still on it and do not mind it. Plus - they have so many neat shakes, bars, candy, etc. And Whole Foods carries a low carb bread which is really good.
