if you hit the ask, the mm is REQUIRED to sell you the shares that he is showing.

so please stop the nonsense that no one will sell you shares...Just hit the ask and you will get them...

If you get the trade and the ask stays the same for the same number of shares its because the mm has more shares to sell and only wants to show the minimum amount that is allowed in order to show on the Level 2 for this price range.

again, it always shows 2,500 shares because that is the minimum amount of shares on Level 2 required to show at this price range

Maybe your order was in as all or nothing which would could have prevented the order from going through. I am trying to buy some now and seems to be no shares to buy. Also sometimes even if you hit the ask you can't buy the shares because those are not real orders they are mm's who want the price in a range to cover their shorts. That's why the orders are always 2500 and even if 2500 are sold at that price the order is still there....lots of games and shorts are going to be fried once this takes off.

Thanks for the informative response!! I didn't have the order on all or nothing to my knowledge.. I think there wasn't any shares left..even placing my limit .05 over the ask.. At the time I think it was .30 or so.. That's why I got like 12500 at .27 and that's it.. I had to buy 2500 at a time lol..E trade was happy....

MMs do not buy or sell these scam securities on their proncipal account. This is a market, if they must complete orders between two different brokers the buying transaction is completed on the first leg, while sell transaction is completed on the second leg of the transaction resulting in 0 net. That is called Riskless Principal, they are not going to be stuck with a shitty OTC stock.

The Minimum size for display is 2500 shares for this price range per FINRA regulations.

Any order that is below that size will not be displayed and is handled internally by the specific broker not the MM.
