My thoughts go out to Karen,

a lot of harm can fall to a family member caregiver, most professionals strongly advise against it as long as coverage isn't an issue, I speak from experience.

For Bruce and Karen's sake I hope it doesn't drag out much longer.

Bruce was so very lucky to have found Karen and married her when he did, which was only a couple of years ago -- they were only married a short time when all this began, but how much better off he is with someone who loves him by his side through this horrible time instead of having to go it alone as a bachelor. Poor Bruce, poor Karen, but one must always try to remember that God does not give us burdens greater than what we can bear and He will give Karen and Bruce the strength to deal with whatever the future holds. . .

Love and Prayers to both. . .

Thank you for sharing such difficult news. The pain we feel for these two people none of us have ever met shows to me how in many ways were are more one than seperate. May the Spirit, Lord, Christ, whatever your heart hears be with both of them for these difficult days and beyond.
