Nuke: You asked about copay on Medicare

I am on Medicare and have Humana for Part D. As of this year, the co-pay is $20 on my plan. Even if you're plan is more, it's gotta be a lot cheaper than what you have now! You can look at the plans online.

Re: Medicare and V coverage - it varies wildly by state, you'll have to check all the plans offered, prices, tier levels, copays etc., and they change every damn year. Another thing you should keep in mind is whether you want a combined Part B/Part D plan like a PPO or HMO - I always had PPO plans while working, so I paid extra for a PPO plan when I got on Medicare, but after ACA was enacted none were available in my state anymore, went to HMO, now just on Part D and original Medicare - paying those extra premiums turned out to mostly be a waste of money over time - my internist does not bill Medicare to save staffing costs, have to pay out of pocket, and my dentist doesn't accept Medicare either - I was gaining nothing being in a PPO or HMO.
