Well, if you think she is funneling money to herself with Charlie Price and Cofer Black on board, as well as being investigated by Arnold and Porter lawyers, then I guess they swayed you. If you find AVII more persuasive than the reasoned and detailed Flipper, then by all means go your way.

I see a company on the brink of significant success, one that has been recognized by two other regulatory authorities and which is making plans and great headway on commercialization. They may be a little down right now, but they are by no means out.

I wouldn't sell before the final results from Direct i or the start of Phase II for sure.

I also found the relatively small financing as an interesting data point. And it does suggest that they (management) believes the company has a chance to be in a much better place to raise capital within at least 6 to 9 months of the offering - if not sooner. And that also seems to be tied-in with the timing for the suspension to screen new patients, especially if the theory of submitting data for accelerated approval is in play.

I do think LP could probably have found more financing 6 weeks ago, but she chose to finance only about 2 months worth. Why? I think she may have said that she expected a catalyst of some sort about now. If not, I inferred it. Something is about to give, one way or the other. I think AF's presence affirms that.

And the entire Phase V episode has a weird hedge-fund-agenda vibe to it. Add the involvement of TheStreet, who know their fair share of hedge fund managers, and it then begins to look all very interesting from the outside.

I will also add that Dr. Liau's remarks, which according to TheStreet led to the plunge in the stock price, even though her comments were not made public for another couple of months after the conference, also gives this that weird hedge-fund vibe...as if insider information was being exchanged, albeit misunderstood.
