Due diligence is not done so one may sound intelligent. And checking the stock price a few weeks back is not what I consider DD. DD is finding out just how mismanaged this company is after reading the financial reports, timing those with other meaningful findings, such as the exodus of board members, the appointment of inexperienced personnel to executive positions, wanton disregard for the investors, persistence in making statements that are never fully implemented, and an absolute dismal failure from a cash flow management perspective.
This kind of DD leads me to question everything that he says. If he says he is paying someone, he is likely robbing someone else. Not armed robbery, this time, but robbery just the same.
