NNVC has done no human clinical trials to date.
The use of the word "failed" is inappropriate, or just inconsequential.
NNVC has been too optimistic about time required to get to clinical trials.
If you wish to use the word "fail" to describe the result of this optimism go ahead.
If you wish to use the word "fail" to obscure what's actually happening feel free to do so.
I'll focus on real progress and the approach of human clinical trials.
I believe you use the word "fail" to try to distract from that focus.
