"Fundamentally what changed?" -

* indication that the company is now awaiting the SAM award from the ICC - previously, we expected a 2G/3G settlement with Sam, so now a very different scenario as to timing and amount of revenues
* Other significant new 3G licenses not yet announced with Nok, Ericy, SE, Mot, LU, etc. as highly anticipated - so now more costs if IDCC needs to legally enforce essential 3G patents
* Insider selling - seems confirmatory of the points above i.e. that Sam is not cooperative and the 3G negotiating table is not bearing any more new licenses in the near term.
* BM lost credibility when it became apparent that he was saying one thing to shareholders and BS about our stock being undervalued, buyback, etc. while he (and other officers) chose to sell shares from their personal accounts.

The above changes in management credibility, timing of revenues, and costs to enforce 3G patents are fundamental changes so the market has corrected.
