There's absolutely nothing off the table when investing. A tweet, a peep, an inadvertent disclosure all carry influence. It's simply people looking for an edge. The market is created by the fact no one knows where stock prices will go or why most of the time. It's all educated guessing. In a clinical trial, despite blinding, trends can be inferred from not only current general observations but also with matching those observations with past data and with available information on the underlying science. That's why the stakes are so high in development stage companies. I get your point, but intelligent people creating possible scenarios from public statements and presentations is perfectly reasonable.
