That's what I meant---national oil companies filling their own coffers so as to avoid turbulence threatening political imbalance. And then there's the military supply side. When there's insufficient oil supply, the general populace will move against the government as it threatens everything a consumer needs for basics.

These are the two primary applications of oil that I watch.
