You don't know that but that's why some people are ignorant about football. Now what could have changed the game is the ref's not blowing the whistle on a backward pass that the Pats run in for the touchdown instead of overturning the call and we getting it and settling for a field goal. That was a four point swing and we would possibly be going to the super bowl. Of course the last time we played in Denver there was also a whistle for a ref who thought he was going to get hit by a player while the game was still going on and we were also going in for a TD. The game went into overtime which it never should have and Denver won or yesterday the game would be at Gillette. It is what it is.
I don't understand the FG decisions. At least with one of them it was still early and just take the FG. Granted Peyton looked bad but the Denver D really wants to see him go out a winner. I think that was the variable in the game especially with Elway being in the house.
Unless the Denver D can find a way to stop the incredible Cam the SB goes to the Panthers.
