About HER2 Expressing Solid Tumor Cancers

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is overexpressed in a percentage of solid tumors such as breast, gastric, bladder, brain, pancreatic, ovarian and pediatric bone cancer (osteosarcoma). The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2015 in the United States alone there will be 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer; 24,590 new cases of gastric cancer; 74,000 new cases of bladder cancer; 22,850 new cases of brain/spinal cancer; 48,960 new cases of pancreatic cancer; 21,290 new cases of ovarian cancer; and 207 new cases of pediatric osteosarcoma. HER2 expression is associated with more aggressive disease, increased risk of relapse and decreased overall survival, and is an important target for immunotherapy.

This will eventually open many possible trials for our HER2 vaccine. I know Roche currently has a Glioblastoma trial in P1/2 with their PD1. Let's see how successful our P2 trial is with breast cancer, but if it turns out to be a winner, expect trials in the above types of cancer.
Let's get these trials started ASAP Glynn!

Hey Tom,
Next time I talk with Dick I will get his permission to give you his cell # or when you talk to him next just ask him for it. When you know your dates when you will be in Florida give him a call and he will do his best to help you out. Like Blu said on his post, Dick's a good guy and he has direct access to Glynn. I cant remember and cant find his co-workers name but he actually is the one that directly represents TPIV. He is much more up on what's going on with the company than Dick himself.
Dick keeps close contact with Denis Corin since Denis has become CEO of another start up company.
I hope you are able to meet up with Glynn while your in Florida.
Take Care!
