Don't know if this is applicable here, but the other day, a fellow poster on another ticker said that when prices see-saw that dramatically, it's probably a case of a short trying to cover. What do you think?

I would expect shorts to do some covering in the afternoon (before the 3-day weekend), sending this into the mid $4s.
