Some brokers are MMs and they buy and sell customer data base data that reflects if you are in too deep and in trouble and need to sell something to cover margin calls, or if you are a big time long that is suddenly selling steadily. I had a friend who told me as a specialist at E-Trade that they (he) even shorted customers positions to get them to sell and panic. The world is a crooked place!!! Some are just legal crooks.
