#80765 RE: longinus #80745

I had an iPhone 6 Plus (the large one), and now the 6s Plus. The additional weight of the thick aluminum chassis of the 6s Plus vs. the 6 Plus makes it feel quite heavy. So much so, I wrote it as a complaint on the Apple website. I also think that somehow it is interfering with the cell phone signal as my new phone does not have the same reception. Using an LQMT body would be an advantage for weight savings as they can make the chassis thinner, and perhaps cell phone signal could be improved. From the patents, it also looks like the chassis could be made waterproof using this material. Apple hasn't spent all this time and money for nothing and convinced they will use this material for some product. Whether they use LiquidMetal is a big question, but the bottom line is that the use will probably have no direct benefit to our company. The probable benefit is its successful use in a high volume product that may help influence others to use our material and patents.
