#6145 RE: Justin C #6144

Justin, you hit the nail right on the head. I remember an in-service program on teaching values many years ago. It was terrible. The administrator who booked it thought it was terrific. Worse yet, he bought into the crapola they were presenting.

I have an aversion to those who think the wheel needs to be some shape other than round. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unfortunately, mine is a minority opinion, or so it seems.

I will vote my shares in such a way that all directors currently serving get an "abstain" vote, and that any and all executive compensation plans get my "no" vote. I will continue this until executive compensation is more in line with company performance and until boards of directors are not populated with other companies CEOs. They vote for each other's golden parachutes.

This is a weekend, K2. Enjoy it. So far, the weather comedians have nothing but net for us.

Amen Justin... amen...

My father the renegade electrical engineer has always said...

If you want to play God... work for personnel. a.k.a... human resources... one of my beloved sisters does that. Rebel child. <g>

My boss... unfortunately... buys into the corporate rule book hook, line, and sinker... she's an Aries... first time out on the wheel of life... no soul. She proves it on a daily basis.

I've spent the evening since I signed off with the Limeliters... reminded me of the authors I knew in my city incarnation... one of whom is dead... coolest memorial service I've been to in my life. A story for a later post... time for me to get back in touch with his highly intelligent writer wife... They were both into the Limeliters. I made a tape of my favorite three Limeliters albums that I gave to her as a gift at the memorial... I'm having a hard time typing now.

Whew.

The Christmas after he died, I got a Christmas card from him. His wife sorted through his personal effects. He knew he would not make it and wrote out Christmas cards to his friends. She mailed them...

Phone call to her tomorrow.

Thanks, Justin.

This correspondence put me into the mindset that will move me forward. If it works as I hope it will... I'll let you know. <ggg>

Here's to you, new friend.
