I suspect it was because he did not deliver on the global roll-out he was to be initiating and money. Boots was established years ago, long before any Kotak involvement and I'm wondering what his successes were, if any. He is degreed by both Oxford, an MA, and an MD from University of London. He was an investment consultant with Blackstone Valley Group in the UK. A law degree as well.
He is/was on the Board of Advisors of this small trading analytics provider.

Seems to me there was a pompous element to him in interviews, I wonder if there may have been people issues. It seems, from reviewing his assignments and business homes, that he has moved around a lot, lawyer, consulting anaesthetist, investment consultant, tech companies. No idea where he received his law degree, I am curious as to why that was not mentioned. Quite possible he brought B. Braun Medical Ltd. on board as a BIEL distributor of RecoveryRx. In any event, he was with BIEL for around 19 months, people come and go, most often with hard feelings, sometimes not, usually a smattering of he said, she said, BS by both sides, hope he did some good and was appropriately compensated. If it was by stock, he waits with us patiently, soon . . . . .
