Learn our lessons? Move on? Louis is well reasoned? Ok so if I want to invest in a company and do my due diligence, would I have made a different decision from when I invested in ANV? No, I wouldn't because we were mislead and lied to throughout the last few years. An example - one of many - and is the very reason we are all so dumbfounded is the valuation discrepancy from the xxx 2014 report which valued the company at 1.8B at 1200 gold and 2.8B at 1300 gold, then a completely contrasting valuation done by a company who littered their report with caveats claiming the company is only worth 250M! Based on the report and the 726M shareholder equity in their Dec 2014 filing we should have been ok up to 667M liabilities if the company went into bk. The rest of the equity in the company is ours. Louis asserts that book value cannot be the value used. Really? So if a company wanted to buyout ANV back in Dec 2014 for 250M say - would that have been accepted? No of course not because the value of the company was 1.4B (and 1.8B or 2.8B) - 667M = 726M shareholder equity. Normally when a company buys another out there is also a premium attached.

Your post tells me that you have not followed this company for the past 9 years like I have since its spin off from VGZ. It also tells me that you don't see anything wrong with someone who has no shared in a company trolling a message board spouting complete bull! An example of that would be, among many, that he does not think the company will trade anywhere near the strike price of the warrants. Pretty ridiculous statement really.

This company also made the disgusting decision to file for bk, and then close the main mine 4 months later, leaving only the Heap leach pad to process, and unless the POG rises dramatically they will close down the operation until it does! What they should have done was mothball the entire operation if things were so bad and wait out the best market, protecting shareholders who raised more than $650M over 7 years. But no, they decided they would keep the next bull market for themselves, scandalous!

Oh and btw, 'conspiaracy' is Louis' word, it lends 'credence' to his arguments!

And now of course after reading this he will think he has a friend and continue to post.

So cheers for your post

What next investment? There is no next investment.

For some of us, that was it. Yeah, if you're 25 and/or you had $1,000 in ANV you can learn lessons and move on. But what if you're 75 and retired or a disabled veteran (no longer able to work) and ANV was everything you had?

There are trading opportunities taking place right now. Win some, lose some. I like the idea of having brokerage take warrents. You have many years to take the loss. Unless you account mark to market and then you can accelerate all of the loss.
