I'm not a short, been invested here for more than 2 years, but if you and Flipper don't think the board is pretty much a rubber stamp for Linda I think you are kidding yourself. Maybe this will change now with the additional independent financial expert, but remember this was forced upon her.

I wish in the PR she had made a full denial of any wrongdoing.

Again I am very happy and relieved but I am also of the opinion they had no choice in the matter if you know what I mean. So NOW that they also want transparency whilst not prior makes me wonder. I have a lot invested in this company and it is upsetting that we all have asked for a looks into the companies trials etc only after LP promised int he past with her promise to shout it from the rooftops etc etc. But only when a powerful shareholder asks no demands transparency does she acquiesce. I am relieved as much as I am concerned........albeit before I was concerned.
I see only the positive in this new development, but I just don't think it was LP's idea , rather I believe it was sheer force to convince her.

they detailed that they have had a independent financial team operating as a CFO since 2012, and that they plan to move forward with the additional independent financial expert board of director

to which the short replies ....."rubber stamp"

What about your unbridled optimism? Just because the company says independent doesn't mean it's so. Why no mention of the CFO outsourcing previously? Where's the validation for all of the comments and concerns about transparency with this company? You use Woodford's investment as valadation in your investment but then when he recommends an investigation and confirms a lack in transparency it's swept under the rug as just standard protocol? Give up the short argument already, do you really think Afford is short or just a frustrated, rightfully concerned long investor?
