#1598 RE: Rurouni #1596

Wasn't Z-Trim a hodgepodge of brands, from mattresses to anthrax detectors to fat substitutes?

Yeah, the stock price went up a lot but you don't mention how it fell just as quickly after Nestle pulled out.

What concerns me more is that Greg Halpern is both the Chairman of the Board and the CFO. Conflict of interest there? How many "real" companies have you seen where the Chairman is also part of the management team? Where is the oversight if the CFO is not doing his job? And can you tell me anything about Halpern's credentials to actually be the CFO, because his education is not listed anywhere on his bio. Does he have a business degree? Accounting? All I know about him is that he had a company whose stock price went belly up after Nestle pulled out, he is working on a book/movie, and he is good at judo.

It's a moot point. As investors we are stuck with this clown car of inept management. Again, I love the technology but I have zero faith that this management team can actually implement and monetize Trammel's concept in a meaningful fashion. The balance sheet and company finances are a disaster...who is to blame for that? How about the Chief FINANCIAL Officer? Aka...Greg Halpern.

Fingers crossed for a positive resolution in Germany. I would be absolutely shocked if MaxSound wins the appeal. Yeah, the lawyers sound optimistic but they all sound that way when saying they will appeal. Most appeals do not get reversed. We'll see. I got in at such a low price that I can probably bail at any time and come close to breaking even. I just feel bad for those who bought in at the .10 and higher range, not on the merits of the lawsuit, but on the merits of this company and its overpaid executive management team that so far, has done absolutely NOTHING to create shareholder value.

The sad thing is that the technology is really cool. This would be the perfect hostile takeover scenario except no investor is going to touch this stock with all that toxic financing lingering around.
