They never gave out financials as far as I recall ( I may have missed it) So one thing I think of is the MA knife is more of a test subject with a decreased fee for it's production for the proof stuff can be done. I am feeling maybe MA pays for the Materials and the labor is Pro Bono by LQMT.

I suspect it is black oxiding or black nitriding which was put on by Miltner-Adams. Pure speculation on my part.
