Some smaller companies conduct phone campaigns. You are so right about trying to get smaller advertisers. Back in the day, Marvel and DC comics were full of ads from small businesses, many of them were back issue comic book dealers.

I think he miscalculated when he wanted to do the million units a week and the cost of printing forced him to seek advertisers with big budgets who really didn't have interest in going with a complete unknown.

He was too hung up on wanting to lay claim to being the largest comics publisher in the country with 52 million books annually

EXACTLY what I have been saying and highlights a lot of what me and COOP we discussing a few weeks back. It was too ambitious, not well setup or promoted. GSL is a much better idea as a supplement of the business not the main revenue generator. When a company cannot even sell its own product or prove their readership and distribution, no company large or small will have faith in the ROI.

Benny makes pie in the sky numbers and promises because he needs his share price to increase a bit to borrow more IMHO. The BOD knew this was going to happen. I am still Abir shocked that he had the nerve to ask people to judge him on the 4th? That seems to indicate he had something firmed up and then it blew up in his face and he is eating his words.

I can't begin to describe how poorly planned GSL was. The current state of affairs prove that beyond words. Building a sales team, proper distribution channel and content should have been the main concern and not just rushing to try and make promised deadlines. Basically they should not mention any project or numbers until they are 100% certain they have the foundation in place. They build so much excitement only to let investors and fans down.

Red giant as a actual, revenue generating company is a long shot. For now, this remains a potential bottom bounce play IMHO.
